1. Which bicycles can I rent from Zugspitz Bike?

We offer a wide selection of bicycles for every adventure:

  • Mountain bikes: Hardtails for relaxed rides through the moss, but also full-suspension bikes for challenging trails.

Whether you're tearing through challenging off-road tracks on a hardtail or conquering the steepest trails on a full-suspension bike – our mountain bikes offer everything you need for an unforgettable off-road adventure. Robust bikes for every challenge!


  • E-bikes: From step-through models to long-range 750Wh full-suspension bikes

Our e-bikes cover all needs: from step-through models for comfortable city riding to long-range 750Wh full-suspension bikes that support you on long tours through mountainous landscapes. Whether for relaxed rides or sporty adventures – with an e-bike you're always in good hands.


  • Kids' bikes: Cool full-suspension bikes for the bike park and e-bikes from 20"

For little adventurers, we offer cool full-suspension bikes for the bike park as well as e-bikes from 20" upwards – perfect for aspiring cyclists who want more than just leisurely rides. Our children's bikes offer safety, comfort and tons of fun!


  • Accesories:

Want to bring your dog? Are the kids not ready to ride alone? Do you need a protective gear set for the trail? No problem – we have plenty of equipment available for rent!

 

2. How can I rent a bicycle from Zugspitz Bike?

You can easily book your bike online or visit us directly at our rental shop. For online booking, simply visit our website and select your desired bike model and rental period.

3. How long can I rent a bicycle for?

You can rent a bike for a day, a weekend, or even a whole week – whatever suits your needs. We offer flexible rental options that fit your schedule.


4. Do I have to pay a security deposit?

No, no deposit is required when renting a bicycle.


5. What is included in the price of the bicycle rental?

The rental price includes:

  • The bicycle including accessories such as helmet and lock, as well as a first aid and repair kit.
  • Free maps and route recommendations
  • A thorough service check before the bicycle is handed over.
  • E-bikes also include a charger from the second day of rental onwards.

Additional accessories such as backpacks, child trailers or protectors can also be rented for an extra charge if required.


6. What happens if I damage or lose a bicycle?

If the bicycle is damaged or lost during the rental period, liability applies in accordance with the rental terms and conditions. We recommend exercising caution on all rides and regularly checking the bicycles for damage. Additionally, there is the option to purchase in-house insurance.

7. Do I need any special equipment or clothing for the bike rental?

For cycling, we recommend comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. If you're riding an e-bike, remember to bring plenty of water and a helmet. Helmets and locks are included in the rental price, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer.


8. Can I also rent the bicycle for a guided tour?

Yes, at Zugspitz Bike we also offer guided tours. Whether a leisurely tour through the valley or a challenging mountain bike tour around the Zugspitze – our experienced guides will show you the most beautiful routes in the region. You can conveniently rent a bike for the tour or bring your own.


9. Which payment methods does Zugspitz Bike accept?

We accept all common payment methods:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Diners, BC)
  • EC card and cash (for on-site collection)
  • Voucher from Zugspitz Bike

10. What happens in bad weather?

If the weather doesn't cooperate and you've booked your bike in advance, simply contact us to discuss your options.


11. Do I need to reserve a bicycle in advance?

Although advance booking is not mandatory, we recommend it, especially during peak season. This way, you can secure your preferred model and avoid long waiting times. You can book online or by phone at any time.


12. Where can I pick up and return my bicycle?

You can pick up and return your bike at our shop in Lermoos. Optionally, you can also book our pick-up and drop-off service (only available in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena). Returns are either on the same day or by arrangement, depending on the rental period.


13. What happens if I return the bicycle too late?

If you need to return the bike after the rental period has ended, we will gladly inform you about any additional costs. However, we offer flexible return options if you notify us in advance.
